Sweet Pea on Prima Indeed

Philippa has some new Copic Sketch Groups in the store so I created a sample using the combinations available. Love the colours. Perfect for these old old Prima papers I have been hoarding.

I followed the Sketch Saturday sketch for this one, and used a beautiful Sweet Pea stamp.

I am entering her in the ABC Challenge's Magical theme

Whiff of Joy on Cosmo Cricket DeLovely

This card almost caused me to throw my damn sewing machine through the window.
Nuff said.

I am entering it in the current Fuzzy Wuzzy challenge and Simon Says Animal Antics.

I used the sketch from Papertake Weekly.

Kraftin Kimmie on Crate Paper Restoration

Card making frenzy going on at my place... 10 cards in the last couple of days! I have loved it too!
None I can share yet though :(

Except this one, a Fairy Tale theme for Kraftin Kimmie. Quite fitting too - we have watched 3 Tinkerbell movies this week! Gosh this Company may just be my favourite right now :) I can't get enough Kraftin Kimmie! Luckily my home away from home, Lime Tart, loves them too :)

When I was colouring this one I was with some friends and someone took a peek and said 'Oh, that's nice! A Rosey-locks instead of a Goldi-locks. And I almost cried. LOL. I had been so intent on colouring to match my paper I had failed to register the very important fact that this was indeed, Goldilocks with her 3 bears. I KNEW it was. I just didn't follow through for some reason. There must be some sort of brain to marker disparency going on!!!

So in a rather desperate attempt to reclaim her famed golden locks, I added some YR and ruined it in the process! Weird looking hair :(  (Mind you, not quite as weird looking as my own right now - DD8 had the 'grand opening' of a tattoo parlour {!!??} and hair salon in her bedroom today and I paid the princely sum of $1 to have my hair made up into the tres chic 'fountain style' which appeared on her 'menu' - which is basically a high pony! Not my best look!)

Anyway - this is not my best colouring - looks kind of flat to me.

I followed the gorgeous sketch (love it!) from Friday Sketchers. I think I will be revisiting this one in the future :)

Got my Heidi Swapp edge distresser out of hiding for Paper Sundae's de-stressing challenge (SO glad I did too - I had forgotten all about her, and I loved playing!)

Lots of layers here too (I count 10 in one spot! It's a thick card!~ LOL) so I think it qualifies for Paperplay's Layers theme too.

A Blast from the Past

I found this cute digital image online - it's from a vintage colouring book, which I just may have owned myself a quarter of a century ago! Who else remembers Precious Moments!? Oops, did I just show my age!?

I decided to colour it in monochrome, so it can be entered into Make it Colourful's vintage photo challenge, I added silver elements to fit with The Shabby Tea Room's White with One challenge and I had planned on entering a Wedding Challenge, but the time difference confused me and I missed out!

This is the first shaped card I have made, and I followed the current Friday Sketchers sketch which was just begging to be made into a circle card. I included ribbons and pearls so am also entering it into Papertake Weekly's challenge.

The Greeting Farm on Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend

OMG! It's a BOY card! UNHEARD of in this craft room! :)

I know a young man who turns 9 tomorrow, so I made him a card today. I am pretty proud of myself too! I never make cards to actually give away!!! LOL

I followed the current Club Anya sketch because I loved it, but my card doesn't qualify for that challenge, so I will just have to make another!!! So sad!

But I am entering it in the Allsorts Male/Boy challenge. And the Creative Card Crew's For Men challenge. Honestly - it was a challenge for me! No flowers!? No ribbon or lace!? I sweated I tell you :)

I altered the hair with a copic multiliner pen, It was originally very 'open' and I wanted the lines in there - I do that often.

LOVE the Cosmo Cricket papers. I am usually drawn to anything pink and floral and girly, but I had to have these. Took me a long time to use them, but I knew I would :) The colours are gorgeous and the patterns are very cool!

Whiff of Joy's Melinda with Hot Chocolate

It is totally the wrong weather for hot chocolate :)

But when I saw Whiff of Joy's Chocolate, Teal and Cream challenge, I HAD to have a go - BG10 and E31 are my most used copic colours. They have both been empty for way too long, but just the other day I received a parcel from Lime Tart with re-inkers for both markers! So it was fate, I had to play with this cozy colour combination, and Melinda with hot chocolate seemed right. I have used the current Saturday Sketch, and will also enter her in the Allsorts Teal and Brown Challenge and Creative Cowgirls' Turquoise and Brown challenge.

Sarah Kay on Glitz Designs Hoopla

I do love Stampavie :) Especially Sarah Kay - her images remind me of my childhood, I was a big Holly Hobbie fan! Stampavie have posted sneaks of a retro 70s inspired range for CHA that I am excited about!

Here's a couple of Sarah Kay cards I made using January's Full Tart. Can't get enough of this colour combo!

I'm entering this card in A Spoon Fill of Sugar's Blue and Green themed challenge.

And a matching partner:

Whiff of Joy on Pink Paislee Sweetness (again!)

These two like each other :) Just in time for valentines!

Another card with a Whiff of Joy stamp on Pink Paislee Sweetness papers. I actually coloured Melinda to match the big florals paper (in the background) which I LURVE but when it came time to put it all together, the pattern was just too big for my little card :(

I see lots of 6x6 pads in my future!

I followed this tutorial from Philippa to cut my stamp out of my nestie. Love it.

This card follows the current sketch at Whiff of Joy.

I'm also entering it in Stamp Something's 'anything goes' challenge.

Motivet on My Mind's Eye

I used the current sketch at the Shabby Tea Room for this card.

This Motivet stamp is definately a Cutie Patootie, so I am entering her in the PaperPlay Challenge as well as Cute Card Thursday's Monochromatic theme.

I followed this amazing tutorial by Philippa to achieve the background effect on the stamp - it was an attempt to replicate the gorgeous MME paper, which didn't quite work - but I do love the technique!

Tickled Pink on The Girls Paperie Tinsel & Twig

Another challenge card today. The next challenge to 'tickle' my fancy was Tickled Pink's i {heart} you challenge. I have used the current sketch from Friday Sketchers.
It was great fun to make and, for once, I am happy with the result :) LOVE these papers.

I am also entering this card in the Secret Crafter's 'With Love' challenge and Bunny Zoe's 'Love is in the Air' challenge.

Whiff of Joy on Pink Paislee Sweetness

I have had some spare time over the last few days so I have been making some cards for challenges. Prepare to be inundated over the weekend :)

I am having fun! It has been a long time since I have played with paper.

I decided recently that I am giving scrapbooking a break for a little while. My photos shall remain undecorated for now! I am enjoying stamping, colouring and card making at the moment.

I absolutely adore this Whiff of Joy stamp, and I've had it for ages but never coloured it! I also had these beautiful Pink Paislee Sweetness papers that I was itching to play with so I combined them on a card using a sketch from The ABC Challenge.

Oh the dramas of making this card! Let's not go there. It was a mess. LOL.

I'm also entering this card in the Dutch Dare's All Stitched Up challenge and Crazy for Challenges Thank You Card challenge.

Glitz Designs Hoopla

Loved playing with the Full Tart for Lime Tart this month.
It is sooo pretty and absolutely chokkas! Sold out but sorry!
You can see what else I did with it in the gallery.

Honey, I'm Home!

Yes, I am painfully aware that it has been 9 long months ( to the day! wow) since I last blogged.
And no, don't go getting any stupid ideas about babies just coz I said 9 months LOL - no more babies for me thanks!
Although I have been nurturing a sort of baby in my absence - my business. I have been working too much, I know that. And in the spirit of the 'word of the year' thing that seems to have gone viral, I will share here now the word that haunts me daily, and must, MUST become a mantra for me in 2011....
BALANCE
I have struggled with it BIG TIME this last year, but I think that just comes with starting your own business and letting it run free all by itself. I should be thankful that I have never had to look for work, but I think 2011 might have to be the year that I start to say NO. Sometimes ;)
I need to delegate more, I need to relax more. I need to CREATE more.
I know it, and I am looking forward to it, I NEED this.
And to get me started, I am once again playing with a Lime Tart kit. This pretty pretty pretty one, just gone on sale:
How well suited is it to me and my fave colours of all time!!!??? I never did share what I did with THIS paint did I!!??
Check it out! WOW - old photos now, 6 months later and I dare not take a pic at the moment!! It's now a little, um, busier shall we say!? LOL But it's all mine, and I love it.
