I can't count!

So, that was FOUR fab faves for Friday. Der.
The 5th would be these earrings I bought (OMG the Drama! Don't ask!) for my Mother in Law's birthday this weekend. They are 10K solid gold with a quarter carat of diamonds and of course the cultured freshwater pearls. Very happy with the price I paid and I think she will adore them.

She blogs..

Honestly, I do. Sporadically.
So I skipped a couple of weeks. oops. I TOTALLY thought (wished) things were winding down for me over Christmas. Nup.
Anyway, I'm here. Better late than never, and it's Five Fab Faves for Friday (or something like that, I never was quite sure!)
And they are:
Diet coke. I just may be addicted.
(you may notice a recurring theme here, I'm not one to bang on about loving my DDs or my sweet hubby etc.. but you can be sure there will be at least one food /drink related fave every time!)
or 2...
DH got me the special edition absolut disco ball vodka (affectionately named 'woddy' in our house - yes, we are close friends... *cough*) for new years last year (this year..?) and for 09 he got me this COOL sequined one. It is in a zip-up skin and sooo gorgeous, like a snake skin, I just LOVE it. I heard abotu this cool cool drink I'm planning on trying out (hmm, if I get my arse into gear I may be able to run to the shops and manage a trial with the girls tonight? Anyhoo, it's called an APPLE PIE. And is like a tequila - you know, the lip, sip, suck (that's lick salt, sip tequila, suck a lemon) well how FUN does this sound?? LICK - cinnamon sugar, SIP vodka and apple juice and SUCK whipped cream from the can!!! APPLE PIE!!! YUMMM!!!!

Our new TV...

It looks sooo teeny to me - 2 inches smaller than our last TV (52") but apprently it is better. Who kows, I have to trust him on this one. (DH wants to be sure I mention that is is the 800 series, not the 80. A-herm, yeah - like you care!)

Crops.

LOL just kidding, You know what I mean. My girls are coming over tonight and I will be playing with this beauty from Wicked Princesses:

I forgot to post my Friday Faves last week. I'm just gonna pass on that one - you'll have to wait 3 more sleeps for the next one!
I have been scrapping a bit - my workload has slowed in the lead up to Christmas (phew!) so I have TIME for once.
December's Puzzle Sketch is up - these are my samples:
Can you tell from these what the pieces are? Check it out.
The yummy yummy American Crafts KIDS range came from Scrap Therapy.

stuff

LOL at the very uninspring post title!! Please, do read on, it gets better!
Made this cute star album for the DT Project section of the Wicked Princess blog. It takes less than an hour to make and basically uses only 3 pieces of cardstock, half a sheet of paper and a little ribbon. Was so easy and fun, I'll be making more of these for sure. Instructions can be found on the WP blog.
Don't forget to enter their sketch challenge too. Great prizes on offer including a $25 store voucher! OMG You could use it towards one of these mouth watering December kits. Already pre-ordered mine! Check them out here.
Don't think I shared this here yet either:
My sample layout for November's Puzzle Sketch. (It's up in the Basic Grey gallery too.) Time is running out to enter!! Win your share of over $80 in vouchers!!

Had another layout accepted into Scrapbooking Memories too. So you'll get to see that one sometime in the first half of next year I guess?

It's nearly Christmas...

Five Fab Faves for Friday

Wowwee, where did that week go? Friday again.
My faves are a bit random this week. LOL. I'm feeling scatty. So at the moment I am loving:
Pumpkin Patch sales! Oh My Stars, the bargains! I got the girls' entire summer wardrobes in one go. Cute as.
This random pear - how gorgeous! Pity I don't eat pears. LOL
The Goldcoast. Yay for cheap flights - we have booked for May next year.
All good housemums avert your eyes now. I may have fed my children these babies a few times in the last week. They are SO yum. And best for K - they have no artificial colours, flavours or PRESERVATIVES! That's a rare find.
K's cute highlighter lion drawing on the fridge ATM. Hmm, think I need to clean down the fridge.
I better get a wriggle on, K is reading a massive prayer in front of the whole school at Mass thismorning. Too cute.

Roadmaps

I did the Aussie Pub Calls Road Map this month. Have been meaning to play along for ages, but this month I had the time, and the sketch was gorgeous, so I entered. And just for fun... I'm going to out myself. I HATE putting washing away. I don't mind washing, hanging it out, or bringing it in. And I ALWAYS fold it as I bring it in. But that's when the wheels fall off. This is not an uncommon sight at our place: I HATE putting it away! usually at this point, I sort it. A pile for each of the girls, one for me & Michael and one for towels & linen. The the linen pile moves in front of the press and the rest go into 3 different baskets at the end of our beds! It's not often that clean clothes actually end up back in the robe. I'm a terrible housewife. LOL. What chore do you put off?

Five Fab Faves for Friday

Saw this on Kirsty's blog, and thought I would join in!
My faves today are:
Our new universal remote control, OMFG this thing is AMAZING!
My bed. I never get much sleep, and so its reeeeally nice when I do, to get to sleep in this baby. Man, the search for this thing was insane. We took sooo long to find exactly what we were after. Knew we wanted a king size, mahogany, solid head a nd foot, we even knew how high we wanted the foot to be! Yes, we are picky, and it was hard to find! but we got it, and we LOVE it:

Peach tea cordial. YUM! I love my iced tea, but this is even better, milder, without the bitter tea aftertaste, and much cheaper of course as you mix it with water (just in case you didn't know how cordial worked!! PMSL)

My veggie patch. Love it. Love it. Love it. In summer I grow salad stuffs; lettuce, spring onion, baby carrots, cucumber, sugar snap peas and cherry tomatoes, red and yellow. YUM.

My new sunnies. Went on a bit of a splurge and spent an insane amount of money on these babies, but I HAD to! I have an infected eye and it is NASTY! I needed to cover it up! And summer is coming, and I have way too many wrinkles, so why not in style?

So that's what I am loving today. Anyone else wanna play?

Wowee

I have been scrapping. It feels good.
Another layout with the Wicked Princess Little Princess kit:

Such a pretty kit. Perfect if you love your bling! The glittered papers are crying out for you t o let loose on the rhinestones and kindy glitz! Which is exactly what I did!

And I have started work on this:

It's an advent calendar I got from Target in the post-Christmas sales (they wanted $20 for it in November!!! But I got 2 for $5 in January!) Some cute new MME papers from Scrap Therapy (20% off MME until Sunday night!!) and lots of thickers. It doesn't look finished to me yet though - I need to find or make some mini christmas embellies I think. I don't have ANYTHING! (I usually cringe at themed supplies) Kirra is hanging out for the Chocolates to go in the little drawers already!

Did I tell you November's pieces are up at Puzzle Sketches yet? Check it out, I'd love to see your entry!

And WELCOME to the WP team, Kirsty. Love your work.

Not quite as brave as she thought she was...

Miss K chose how she wanted to spend some of her birthday money...

She's pretty proud of herself now but!

WARNING: Circle Journal image overload to follow!!

Just over a year ago I 'met' this lovely lady. We became great friends and when we met in person it felt 'right'. Just a few months later, by some bizarre fluke, we discovered we were related. Very closely related! So I had stumbled across my 'long-lost-cousin' online. Surreal. We have been the best of friends since and I am so very grateful to have her in my life.
Together, we met a bunch of great people through her store, Keep'n the Memories and when that closed down last month, one of the regulars on the forum, Kathryn suggested we make something for Toni. And the Circle Journal was born. It spent the last month travelling Australia and on Friday we gave it to her at our regular crop night.
I'm probably going to be in trouble for these shots, but I have to share!!
PMSL. We had a lovely night, Kathryn was down from the Mount so we had an extra squeezed at the table. It was fun. So, for the girls who were involved, but didn't get to see the whole thing, here's the individual pages, blogger is doing some interesting resizing of all my images, so excuse the dodginess...
The covers (Toni loves green and brown and vintage)
Instruction page (we all did a personal details tag in a pocket with an uplifting, inspirational or friendship quote in a monochromatic scheme)

Thanks for your contribution Suzi, Fran, Belinda, Chloe, Kathryn, Chelle, Kerryn and Tess.

Little Princess

I am allowed to share my Little Princess stuff now!
I have only done one card and one layout so far, but I have barely touched the surface of this kit yet, so hopefully I have the time to do some more very soon. I just love all the pretty girliness of it.
Karen and Tam are taking pre orders for this kit now, but it won't be shipping until December. I'd recommend you ask them to put one aside for you though if you're interested, they have almost sold out of their November kits already! YES! ALREADY!! You get 2 entries in the Xmas draw too just for pre ordering. It's sooo lovely, all those who like doing girly layouts are going to adore this one.

Busy Busy Busy

Sorry I took so long to get back - what's new! Have had a big deadline as usual, plus workmen here paving, I've planted out my vegge patch for spring/summer, been painting the cubby, throw in a sixth birthday girl and it's been slightly hectic here! My DH just drew Toni's name out of a 'hat' for the blog draw. Congrats Toni! I'll get it to you this week. Have you visited Wicked Princesses yet? Last I checked they were about a moment away from selling out of their October kits! If there's any left, make sure you grab one, coz they are donating $5 from every kit sold between now and 15 November to Breast Cancer Research.
