Mono Madness

Challenge time! AGAIN! No idea what is happening to Mon-Fri lately, but the imminent arrival of Christmas seems to have sped things up a bit! Saturday already! 

This week our hostess is Donna and she is challenging us to make a Monochromatic Card!!  I do like this criteria - fun but not hard :)

So create something with one main colour and make sure you use a KKStamp, that way you could be the random winner of the new WINNIE stamp that Donna used on her card!

I have used the gorgeous/sophisticated/sexy Sophia (Oh My! She was lovely to colour!) and went against my better judgement to use blues. I am still surprised that I didn't go pink! Her dress has been paper pieced.

KRAFTY RELEASE DAY!!!!

Do you know what day it is???  It’s Krafty RELEASE Day!!  Today Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is releasing their new October stamps and there’s SO much to SEE!!   

Over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, we have shared lots of FUN new stamps for you to get inky with!  We’ve got something for everyone!! There is a fun new trio of SNOWPEEPS from Cheryl Alger!  We have a super fun set of five animals having fun in the white stuff from Emilie Goulet called the WINTER WONDERLAND collection!  And of course we have an amazing new set of six EVERYDAY GIRLS from Annie Rodrigue! 

Of course I chose to work with one of Annie's gorgeous girls today! I adore this Sarah Shopper image - and her fun sentiment! (Even though my sewing machine lost the plot!)

Today the Krafty Girls are sharing peeks at Annie Rodrigue's new release - a second edition of the popular everyday girls! I LOVE all of these stamps but this one is my very favourite...


EVERYONE needs a good birthday stamp and this one is so versatile! I can see this gorgeous lass on cards for my own friends as well as my daughter's friends!

Now today is not just a release sneak peek, it's also challenge day! Pam has made a lovely sketch for us to use and it was so much fun to play with!

Sparkle and Shine!

For this week's Krafty Challenge, our hostess is the amazingly talented Michelle and she has asked us to create a card using a KKS stamp and some sparkle and/or shine! YAY! So much fun to play with! Just make sure there's something sparkly or shiny on your creation....and a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp of course and you could win one of the new Christmas nativity images plus a sentiment!

For the glittery aspect, I just couldn't go past one of the beautiful angels - I had so much fun with the sparkle, it is quite possible I went overboard!

For this cutie I raided my barely-used stash of kindyglitz. Gold in her hair, pink on her dress, clear for her wings and silver on the horn.


I also added a Prima sparkly flower and some awesome glittery leaves I have in my stash that came from a $2 shop!

And a close up to show the true extent of the glitteriness on the image - please don't judge me - it is way too easy to get carried away with this criteria - I dare you! Unfortunately I was, for once, happy with my colouring originally but the glitter all but obscured my careful shading! I think it was worth it though! The sparkle is FUN!


I used my fave out of the box technique and my Copic ABS to add some clouds to my stamp's background. Papers are from the gorgeous Victoria Garden pad I can't get enough of!

Don't forget the Frugal Friday Specials for this weekend that are now up on the shop site! These will be available until MONDAY night this week.....since it's a long weekend in Canada, Kimmie has decided to extend it!!! Yay! Some awesome stamps in the line-up this week!

Paper Piecing FUN!

I do love to paper piece. So when it was my turn to host a Kraftin' Kimmie challenge, I chose paper piecing as my criteria! Still playing with the new Christmas stamps, I decided to use the cute Gift Wrapping Elf for my sample. Don't you just LOVE her!?
