forgot...

to share these:

just realised how similar they look! oops...

I had lots of fun playing with this new Sassafras Lass. I do LOVE these papers so much. Just like bold 70s printed fabrics I am drawn to them, ADORE them - but am reluctant to wear them or display them in my home. Bit scary. EXACTLY the same with these papers. I HAD to have them but I had no idea what to do with them LOL.

So I just turned off my brain and let the papers and stickers take over. I have to say it was a LOT of fun. I honestly don't really like what I did in the end but I really REALLY enjoyed playing with them. FUN FUN FUN

stuff...

oh my, today has gone by slowly... getting up at 6am for a change makes a world of difference, hey.
Today I had nothing that HAD to be done. Possibly for the first time in about a million years.
Of course there was stuff that COULD be done. But we weren't desperate for washing, didn't HAVE to vaccum, no errands to run, no work deadline tomorrow... so I did NOTHING, Seriously, I achieved NOTHING today. And it was SOOO nice.
So K and I had some time together while Sharni slept and we made these cute canvases for her room.
Sooo cool. $5 from the reject shop and they are pre-printed with cute images and come with all the paints and several brushes. She LOVED doing this. Could see myself in her when she started to freak about perfection and insisted I do the edges so it would be neat and then she just 'coloured' it all in. Such fun to play with brushes and acrylics. I really should consider creating something 'proper' for our house. But that's unlikely. LOL
Working on the MAY 'Mum' kit for KTM SOOOO pretty, here's a sneak peek
pre orders should be up any moment now... But you can always ask me to get one helod for you if you want.
As always, Toni's kits are AMAZING value, with heaps of stuff plus the instructions for an OTP, 3 LOs and cards. You will never get better value elsewhere! This month I am celebrating motherhood. Make some pretty mother's day cards and pressies if you're quick enough, or scrap about how you spent the day if you're not so organised (like me!) sooo pretty!!

she's a weird one...

K says to me in the bath last night "Mum, which one's your Golden Shoulder? The right one or the left one?" Umm... Anyone know WHAT a Golden Shoulder is?? LOL

carpets, marshmallows, scales and cards...

On the weekend I was giving my sister a makeover (LOL) while K was playing with Miss 8 from next door. I was mid eyebrow pluck when she comes running in 'Mum! Georgia done a red vomit' Oh Lordy!!! Did she ever!! MASSIVE red vomit all over the loungeroom. My poor sister had to clean it up because my stomach wasn't coping! Far Out, that was bad. So, $198 later and the carpet cleaner has just left. The rest of the house needed it anyway. He said we should have gone with a cheaper carpet though as apparently our wool sisal is the hardest to clean. Tell me now!? I have mentioned this before, but our K is a very difficult child. She is seeing a psychologist now to help her learn to manage her feelings better as she gets herself so worked up. She's never just happy, sad or angry, she is HAPPY, SAD or ANGRY! Everything she does has this super intensity about it and I worry about her so much. We have also removed all colour from her diet along with a big fat bunch of other restrictions. The poor dear can't have avocado anymore, and she was addicted to that stuff! I'm quite happy about it as sometimes they are $2.50 a pop and we were going through about 5 a week! (proud mummy moment yesterday - she was playing out the front with some neighbours when one girl offered her some lollies. I heard her say 'What colour are they? I'm only allowed to have white lollies'. Good Girl!) So her only real treats at the moment are white marshmallows and milk bottle lollies.I am LOVING having marshmallows in the house - I toast them over the gas hotplate - YUM - check out these MEGA ones! YUM YUM YUM (mind you this pic doesn't look too appetising does it? LOL)

Hubby has been trying to lose weight lately so I have decided, reluctantly, to join him. Tomorrow. Maybe. I do desperately want to lose weight - I just don't have the will power. Well, I guess I do, but I just don't have the drive.

I really could do with losing 10 kgs. And I figure if I put it out there on the WWW I may just do it! But I'll keep you posted on that one - it may end up going the way of the rag dolls, and the patchwork quilt, and all the other great ideas I've never followed through on!

So, mortifying as this is, I will share my journey by starting with this morning's weigh-in. 64kgs.

Now don't go freaking out saying that I don't need to lose weight! I am only 5'2" so this IS overweight for my height. I checked out a few calculators online and I should be between 46kgs and 59kgs. So I have to lose AT LEAST 5 kgs. (Man, how tiny does 46 kgs sound!!?? OMG just realised that means I am potentially almost 20 kgs overweight!! FARK!!)

No scrapping really, I've made a couple of cards for the We Challenge You blog but they won't be uploaded til the 1st. Got work to do most nights this week so probably won't get to do any until the weekend, hopefully have something to share then. I decided to make my counter visible too, so now you can watch it tick over - I'll do another big RAK at 7500.

4874...

Hits on my li'l ole blog. That's an average of 24 page loads a day. Small change to some I know, but I can only account for maybe 3 or 4 of you, LOL - and it still astounds me that anyone else reads it, and I wonder who y'all are? As you do. So of course that makes it RAK TIME! A sure-fire way to get a few of you out of the woodwork to say hello and introduce yourself. I started with about 6 sets of this gorgeous Creative Imaginations stuff. In honeydew as well as this lovely berry story. I have RAKed a few of them but I still have 3 of each thing here and haven't used any of it myself yet!! So I think I can part with one more duplicate! Included is:
  • CI die cut cardstock
  • CI alpha and elements sticker sheet
  • CI chipboard alpha
  • CI chipboard elements
  • CI epoxy stickers
  • CI journal spots x2
  • American crafts ribbon spools x2
  • and some coordinating paper, a Prima flower, x2 jumbo playing cards, a length of mini pom pom trim and a lace butterfly

So, when my counter hits 5000, which should be less than a week at my average, I will draw a commenter's name randomly. So say hello, and do it quick. I estimate a draw around Friday next week? But it could be sooner...

(BTW I know I still have a pay-it-forward RAK to honour - but the rules said I have 365 days!! I haven't forgotten!)

Oh, and I have a LO in this month's SM in the school gallery. And I was offered a DT spot with a new challenge blog, We Challenge You (link in my side bar) offering LO, card AND otp challenges monthly. The first set of challenges will be up on 1 May so go check it out. Don't forget to say hello!! x

sultry...

These are the yummiest papers. LOVE the colours. Saturday night I should have been doing CC challenges, but I'm not eligible to win anyway so I played with my sultry intead!!
This is my baby kissing herself in the mirror again, like she does every day! LOL, journalling reads: You have so much LOVE to give baby girl. Always cuddling and kissing. MWAH!

And another kiss!

And this one was my sample for the KTM cybercrop challenge I hosted. October Afternoon papers. Love them too.

Been shopping a lot lately. Our whole house needs new winter wardrobes so I am throwing money out the window left right and centre. Sigh. That's why we work I s'pose.

Speaking of work, some exciting stuff happening for me on that front. I've picked up a Federal client (yeah, gee! that sounds REAL exciting! LOL) It is, I assure you. You may have to just trust me on that one. Too hard to explain!

It's all good.

sweet...

April's 'sweet' kit is available at Keep'n the Memories.
BG two scoops, MM and Heidi bits and pieces, very sweet! It looks just perfect for easter LOs or new baby cards. These are the LOs I did with mine:

(no matter where we are or what we are doing, K will find a way to draw!)

and a mini album about Sharni just before she turned one:

Check out the CC challenges in the forum. You can WIN ONE OF THESE KITS! And plenty of other gorgeous kit prizes too! There is a challange to suit everyone - all are due by Sunday 6 April so there is still plenty of time. I hope to try them all this week. The entries are slowly trickling in already, can't wait to see them all!
