On the weekend I was giving my sister a makeover (LOL) while K was playing with Miss 8 from next door. I was mid eyebrow pluck when she comes running in 'Mum! Georgia done a red vomit' Oh Lordy!!! Did she ever!! MASSIVE red vomit all over the loungeroom. My poor sister had to clean it up because my stomach wasn't coping! Far Out, that was bad.
So, $198 later and the carpet cleaner has just left. The rest of the house needed it anyway. He said we should have gone with a cheaper carpet though as apparently our wool sisal is the hardest to clean. Tell me now!?
I have mentioned this before, but our K is a very difficult child. She is seeing a psychologist now to help her learn to manage her feelings better as she gets herself so worked up. She's never just happy, sad or angry, she is HAPPY, SAD or ANGRY! Everything she does has this super intensity about it and I worry about her so much. We have also removed all colour from her diet along with a big fat bunch of other restrictions. The poor dear can't have avocado anymore, and she was addicted to that stuff! I'm quite happy about it as sometimes they are $2.50 a pop and we were going through about 5 a week! (proud mummy moment yesterday - she was playing out the front with some neighbours when one girl offered her some lollies. I heard her say 'What colour are they? I'm only allowed to have white lollies'. Good Girl!) So her only real treats at the moment are white marshmallows and milk bottle lollies.I am LOVING having marshmallows in the house - I toast them over the gas hotplate - YUM - check out these MEGA ones! YUM YUM YUM (mind you this pic doesn't look too appetising does it? LOL)
Hubby has been trying to lose weight lately so I have decided, reluctantly, to join him. Tomorrow. Maybe. I do desperately want to lose weight - I just don't have the will power. Well, I guess I do, but I just don't have the drive.
I really could do with losing 10 kgs. And I figure if I put it out there on the WWW I may just do it! But I'll keep you posted on that one - it may end up going the way of the rag dolls, and the patchwork quilt, and all the other great ideas I've never followed through on!
So, mortifying as this is, I will share my journey by starting with this morning's weigh-in. 64kgs.
Now don't go freaking out saying that I don't need to lose weight! I am only 5'2" so this IS overweight for my height. I checked out a few calculators online and I should be between 46kgs and 59kgs. So I have to lose AT LEAST 5 kgs. (Man, how tiny does 46 kgs sound!!?? OMG just realised that means I am potentially almost 20 kgs overweight!! FARK!!)
No scrapping really, I've made a couple of cards for the We Challenge You blog but they won't be uploaded til the 1st. Got work to do most nights this week so probably won't get to do any until the weekend, hopefully have something to share then. I decided to make my counter visible too, so now you can watch it tick over - I'll do another big RAK at 7500.

Holy cow, I don't think me or my carpet would survive red vomit. (Hope the your neighbours girl is OK btw). And yay for Miss K for being such a clever girl :).

oh Nic i think we are living in parallel universes LOL.
We have wool sisal carpet too - lots and lots of stains (bugger it all :( ) but no red vomit (yay)
Your K sounds like my K. Very intense with emotion. We have done the diet thing too and noticed a real improvement.
good luck with your wt loss. It is really hard thing to stick with but so worth it. I know i need to get back on the bandwagon too.
