There aren't any in Australia at the moment though, so delivery has to wait until the next German build in May. In the meantime, I am struggling with the very important colour choice!
I need some advice.
There are several paint colour/interior option combinations available, but for all different reasons, it has been narrowed down to 2 choices.
This one, which I initially fell in love with, and soon after got scared by:
The coloured dash is what is freaking me out. Although it is also what excited me in the first place. I am scared that the novelty will wear off and I will soon regret going bold. I also saw one of these interiors IRL and it bothers me that the dash colour (which also appears inside the door lining) is leaning towards a brown colour and it doesn't match the rest of the door lining which is kind of burgandy or the seat covers (which are a 3rd shade altogether, more a plum) Now that is actually slightly dramatic - essentially they ARE all teh same colour (mordello apparently) but the slight difference in the different materials does annoy me.
But it's a fun concept, yeah? The coloured dash. Short of going with a crazy paint colour (not an option, as DH may need to use this for work occaisionally), it's really the only way to add some character to a stock vehicle?
Then there's my safe choice:
A blue/grey paint which I really like, and comes with the all black interior. But am I gonna be bored with this? Is this seriously dull!? Michael thinks that as a designer, I should get the one with a bit of fun. I don't know what to do??
I would love to hear your thoughts...

See if they will give you the interior of the 2nd choice and the brilliant exterior color of the
1st!
WHy be safe??? I reckon go with the top pick, it looks sensational!
I LOVE the top one!! LOVE it!!
definately the top one Nic! It's fab!!
If the colours don't actually match in the first that would drive me nuts. I would probably go with the "safe" one and jazz it up with accessories.
Well, I love no. 2 body colour personally but, the interior is rather drab when compared with No. 1.
So, the question is: Why did No.1 excite you in the first place? - sense of adventure alone or something more creatively deeper.
hi nic.
Well i am a kind of boring person but i like the second one.....
The first one does look kinda cool but yes the colour difference would really annoy me. And then if there was some hot SA sun on the dash it might go a lot browner over time???
Tricky one but if you are thinking that you might regret it i suppose it may be a problem later on........
sorry chook - may not be what you wanted to hear!
(although the car does look very YOU!!! - maybe you could do up the inside of the other one to be just as flash and individual?)
I'm a burgundy girl thru and thru so I would be going option No. 1 and not be worried about the slight differences. By the time my stuff is all over the seats, I'm not going to notice the slight different in three months time. However, the fun dash, I would still notice while driving ;-) My two cents worth.
Sorry hun, but I am boring through and through and would go with the safe choice LOL.
With that said though, the first colour is FUN!!!
So hard!!! I'm all about being out there, but I think the "different-ness" of the colours on the first option would annoy me.
I love love love the first one!!
Oooooh tough choice! But what a cool dilema to be having!!!!
I loooove the look of #1, but my safe, boring self would probably insist on option 2...I always go for what would re-sell quickly and easily (ugh, how BORING!!)
Oh, gotta be the pink one!
Eye catching, easy to find in the car park!!!
You will be easily found too though.
I love the first one but like suggested before maybe see if they can do the interior black.
hmmm the bright personality of the chick behind the wheel would brighten up the second car.
I lurve the first choice.
I love being different and that certainly is. fan bloody tastic.
If the shades of colour differ so much to annoy you, put on seat covers, dashmat to cover at least the top part by the window and of course the crystal to hang from the rear vision mirror for good Kama.
Have u googled about this car to find forums for comments????
good luck and let us know what u end up with.
t
1st one for me - be bold and make a statement - lol (in saying that I have a plain white car)
xx
Hi Nic
I suppose I am boring as well, because I prefer the 2nd car.
If the colour difference annoy you now they will probably really piss you off in the future!
If they haven't built it yet, maybe go back to the dealer and check out options of mix and matching interiors and exteriors to your choice?
Not sure about the coloured interior. It's a bit juvenille. At the same time, the blue outside is too boring. I like the fuuschia outside- it looks great and definitly stands out. Perfect for a scrapper! Maybe see if it comes with the plain interior?
i agree with Bon....
if there is even the slightest thing that nags you about this car, then you will definately regret the decision. the interior is what you'll be looking at more than any other aspect, and as such, you must feel comfortable (at home) in the drivers seat, otherwise you will not enjoy the driving your car.
and from a mans point of view, it's best to stick to a standard colour paint job, cos when you have an accident standard colours are less likely to get frakked up when they respray them, and your car won't end up looking like a 2nd hand taxi, with 3 different version of the same colour covering your car.
this is why i have a silver crv, with mega personalised blingy bits...
hope to have helped
Goodness, there's a great deal of useful info in this post!
