it's all happening in here...

FAR OUT!
So so so busy, my life is stupid crazy sometimes.
2:30am has been my bedtime for over a week now, and I am SO not loving it!
I'm not complaining. Honest. I chose this life.
But it's HARD.
I really really want to be able to stay at home with Sharna. I want to be available to pick K up from school.
But I also want to earn a living. I want work with adults. I want to be useful outside the home.
I DO actually HAVE IT ALL. In theory my life is sweet.
I have a creative job I love, I make bloody good money working from home part time. And I get to spend my days with my beautiful baby.
But I am starting to lose it! I want my nights back! Once the girls are in bed I'd love to 'turn off" and sit in front of the tele. Or scrapbook! But that is when my working day starts. 8pm until at least midnight I am on the computer. I never planned on working quite so many hours, but I'm going with the flow, building a (mammoth) clientele and preparing my business for the day that Sharna starts school and I can have my nights back.
It's a sweet sweet thought!
My latest LO for We Challenge You blog:
4 different patter papers, 5 flowers, 6 buttons and a transparency. Give it a go! You have ALL MONTH! (I have since journalled, but am too busy/lazy to re photograph it! LOL)
I'll be back to do my tag soon Toni!

busy, busy, busy...

I'm too busy!!!
If it wasn't for challenges, I don't think I would get any scrapping done at the moment!
Here's a couple of crappily photographed (HATE this overcast lighting!) recent LOs...
The challenge - to use all of your products from the one manufacturer:

The challenge - use circles, numbers and multiple photos:

I'm sure there's more...? oh and this was a sample for the KTM CC the other weekend:

and a 'just because' (these are few and far between lately) I used my Donna Wild celebrity kit from Keep'n the Memories:
I SO don't have a 'style' do I??? Every LO is different. I feel like I want a 'look' all my own. Been admiring Belinda's work a LOT lately. I love it. I think '123 ready? GO!' may have been inspired by her??
Sometimes I think I get all caught up in the 'decorating' and when I look at it afterwards I feel like while it may look nice it seems a bit over the top. Fussy for fussy's sake.
I have these moments of wondering if it is all just a really stupid thing to do!!?? Does anyone else doubt scrapping's worth sometimes? Or is that a form of blasphemy!? I do love doing it. I just feel 'silly' decorating a photo sometimes...
Oh and some cards, again for a challenge! to use a card base plus cardstock x1 and pp x1 plus embossing:
There's another 3 in this set - on orange - but blogger doesn't like them. I don't know how to emboss, so I used a pre-embossed Love, Elsie cardstock. Cheater!!!

new stuff...

I recently applied for a DT spot with Allcraftz. I had to submit a LO, card and OTP created especially for the DT call. These were my application pieces: I was advised last week that I was shortlisted to the top 3, then the top 2, but at that point the team had trouble deciding between us! So they went backwards a step and opened it back up to 5 or 6 applicants who were then set a challenge - to scrap with THIS GREEN piggy pic! WHAT a challenge that was! Then the forum members voted and Krissy was the lucky winner. Congrats Krissy.

They never got to see these pieces, but I am able to share with y'all now!

forgot...

to share these:

just realised how similar they look! oops...

I had lots of fun playing with this new Sassafras Lass. I do LOVE these papers so much. Just like bold 70s printed fabrics I am drawn to them, ADORE them - but am reluctant to wear them or display them in my home. Bit scary. EXACTLY the same with these papers. I HAD to have them but I had no idea what to do with them LOL.

So I just turned off my brain and let the papers and stickers take over. I have to say it was a LOT of fun. I honestly don't really like what I did in the end but I really REALLY enjoyed playing with them. FUN FUN FUN
